"My children, you two were chosen by my Immaculate Heart to spread my Heavenly messages. Do not be discouraged. Be strong and firm in trials. Have confidence. Your Heavenly Mother is here to help you and protect you from all evil. It is necessary that you listen and live my messages. Pray together. I still have many things to speak to you both, so get together more to pray. Be obedient. Your Heavenly Mother loves you and blesses you. Pray asking the Divine Holy Spirit to enlighten you. You both are inside my Immaculate Heart. Pray, pray, pray. I bless you: in the name of the Father of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. See you soon!" Jesus, Mary, and Joseph chose two people to be their confidants. In addition to the messages, which were often intended for the Church and the world, they entrusted them with particular messages, true spiritual guidelines for their spiritual growth. During all these years, the messages they received from the Holy Family are numerous and countless. Many of them are transmitted to the faithful, others are personal, which can not be divulged, remaining only between them and the Mother of God, who guides them in everything that God allows, so that his work is more and more revealed and known, as She wishes, for the salvation of all those who humbly receive and live Her appeals.
Edson and Maria do Carmo, are simple people, discreet and often reserved. They seek to stay in their home, giving their testimony of the messages. At prayer meetings, which always take place on Saturdays at 5:00 p.m. and on Sundays at 6 p.m., they speak of their experiences with the Mother of God and testify to the messages she has passed on to them over the years.
Interrogating one time Our Lady, why she had chosen a mother and a son of the same family to manifest, Edson heard from the Mother of God the following answer:
"Because I want to show to all my children of the whole world the love of Mother that I have towards my Son Jesus and the love of Son that Jesus has for me. That is why I chose a Mother and a Son to represent this love."
Many times, at dawn, Our Lady wakes up the confidants, inviting them to pray, together with her, for sinners and for the salvation of souls. These encounters always occur in the most difficult hours of the morning, to teach them to sacrifice and to do penance for the conversion and salvation of the world. Once, the Virgin told them:
"When you, during the early morning, lose sleep, know that it is I, your Mother in Heaven, who is calling you to pray with me for the salvation and conversion of your brothers and sisters. When this happens, stand up and pray, for the salvation of a soul is very important to God and to me. Pray until sleep arrives again, then go back to sleep."
